Fine but challenging to get a good fit

In general this is a fine shoe - especially for summer months - it is relatively lightweight and breathes. I like that it does not have too thick a sole which many other brands have now. For someone seeking a stability shoe this is good. However, the trim and tongue on the shoe feels very plastic and the shoe laces are a bit too short. I ended up having to go up a full size. I wear a street shoe between 9.5 and 10, and a sneaker in 10.5 but ended up having to go to an 11 because the 10.5 was too short for me. Neither of the two types of soles provide sufficient arch support, so i still had to replace the sole with an orthotic sole. But now that i have adapted the shoe to my needs it is a comfortable walking shoe.

    Love my new Hettas

Really enjoying my Hettas. Love the spring in my step. Mostly used on the pickleball court so far and are super comfy.

    Needs improvement

The Hettas shoes I bought look great! Really like the colour and the slim look. But the issue with the laces is something that needs to be improved. First, the laces could be longer. And they’re a struggle to tie. The sizing is a mystery. It was suggested to order a half size up but the fit isn’t as good or as comfortable as it needs to be. I would never order them again online because they need to be tried on first.

    Great New Shoe!

I was drawn to these shoes as they are designed with women in mind. I have worn Brooks Ghosts for years, but over the last few model years, the front toe box area of the shoes has gotten so wide that my feet slosh around in them. The Alma Cruise shoes are comfortable, lightweight and offer fair support (I'll probably buy the firmer support model next). I love the narrower toe box area that holds my foot in place. I am a walker, not a runner, and these shoes are great for that. I also appreciate the one price no matter which model very much.

Pros - the shoe is comfortable, good fit for my foot, good support, accommodate my orthotics well, and they're nice looking shoes. Also, having two different insoles to choose from is a great perk. *Do relace the shoes before deciding if you like them, it makes a huge difference to the fit.

Cons - I'm not completely sold on the see-through top of the shoe as your socks shine through. Also, sizing is different from my regular size. I wear size 9 and always buy a 9.5 to accommodate custom orthotics. I had to size up to size 10 in Hettas.
